Maria - Lead singer and Rhythm Guitar

Maria has played in two successful duos and several local rock and roll bands including her longest residency in the band Proper Potion which was featured in Long Island's Good Times Magazine. Conjointly, she directed and served in several church groups, taught music in a parochial school, and directed a public school chorus. Additionally, Maria has produced many church and public performances both in group and solo settings. She and her church folk group appeared on the local TELICARE network's Christmas mass and weekly masses multiple times utilizing many of her original songs. Now she continues her love for music and the Beatles by being a part of this band!

Gary Pirro - Vocals and Bass Guitar

Music and entertaining runs in Gary's veins. He was exposed to the Beatles upon the release of "Meet the Beatles".   Seeing them on the Ed Sullivan Show as a child, inspired him to take up the bass.

Gary has been in several bands, but playing with the The Day Trippers is special since it provides the opportunity to perform Beatles classics.

According to Gary, "after singing these songs all my life, it brings great joy to my heart to preform them".

Michael Borkan - Lead & Rhythm Guitar, Guitar Synth, Vocals:

Over the years, Mike has been in two successful Long Island bands; a well-known Tom Petty group and a popular Classic Rock band.

Mike prides himself on achieving a guitar sound that is strikingly similar to the original recordings.  According to Mike, "When playing the songs of an iconic band like the Beatles, the songs have to sound and feel right." And he promises, it will.

With his Guitar Synthesizer, the "Abbey Road Melody" contains piano and orchestral instruments; "Penny Lane" includes brass horns, and "Eleanor Rigby" comes to life with a full orchestra.

Gary Bruno - Drums, Percussions, Vocals

Gary's first exposure to the Beatles was on Ed Sullivan. He said "seeing them at Shea Stadium was the best $5 I've ever spent! " To this day, Gary says "RINGO!", when asked who he fashioned his playing style after.

Steady and not loud, he and his vintage Ludwigs have played it all, from rock, to disco, to weddings, originals, community theater, and even a cruise.

He's played in local bands, "ACR" a classic rock group, and "Proper Potion", a popular dance band that made the cover of Good Times Magazine. For Gary, sitting in Ringo's seat in The Day Trippers is a dream come true!
